Im Falle eines nicht behebbaren Ausfalls von E10A wird der EUMETCast Europe Service derzeit auf EUTELSAT 21B (E21B) in der Orbitalposition 21 ° Ost fortgesetzt.

Wie bereits angekündigt, wird ab dem 01.02.2021 das EUMETCast Europe-Backup von E21B auf Hotbird 13 (HB13) in der 13 ° Ost-Orbitalposition migriert. Dies bedeutet, dass ab dem 01.02.2021 im Falle eines nicht behebbaren Ausfalls von E10A der EUMETCast Europe Service auf HB13 fortgesetzt wird.

Eine Testaktivierung des EUMETCast Europe-Dienstes für die vorgesehenen HB13-Transponder ist im ersten Quartal 2021 geplant. Während des Tests werden auf beiden Satelliten (E10A und HB13) dieselben Datenströme verfügbar sein.

4.This satellite is also known as HIMAWARI 6.

5.HiRID and WEFAX was discontinued on 12th March 2008. It was replaced with HRIT/LRIT (after many months of dual dissemination).

6.GOES-12 was decommissioned on 16th August 2013.
