Colin, VK5HI: I have confirmed that Objects F & H are definitely not Cute 1.7+APD II. This morning I tracked again using Object C and it was a good fit. Looking at the Cute Blog a few minutes ago, I noted they have highlighted an Object L trailing C by 15 kilometres. Plugging in the latest elements I get that CANX-2 Object C trails Object G (presumed to be DELFI) by 8 seconds. Object L trails Object C by 3 seconds. Looking at my notes Object L is a better fit for AOS & LOS for Cute. Object G (Delfi) tracks very well through the pass maintaining a 1600 Hz Tone for the RASCAL Software. Hence it would appear by observation that Object L is potentially Cute 1.7+APD II.

Colin, VK5HI: Mike and others including myself have derived that SEEDS is Object J. There is a growing feeling that Delfi is G, based on observations on the 6th May. However Delfi was not on for me this morning, so could not establish a Doppler pattern, using G. Have more or less convinced myself that Cute is Object C based on my Doppler observations. Compass leads Cute, having observed Compass at AOS in the pass band before Cute. All adds up to a lot of fun.

Hiroki (Cute-1.7 + APD II Team): Thank you very very much for the further informations and the valuable advice. Your suggestion looks correct. Cute uses the 2m band for command uplink channel (145.9XXMHz), very close to COMPASS. We are considering the need for disabling the DTMF reception function of Cute temporarily.

Mark, N8MH Hi Mike, I got a report from Australia on 0551 and 0729 utc (Colin, VK5HI) that AO-16 had gone silent again. :(
Around 11:42 utc I turned it back ON again. It was very low elevation, so I could not get any telemetry after turning it ON. Lately, it has not stayed ON very long after a restart. If you are around your shack and able, some telemetry from AO-16 would be most appreciated :) 73, Mark

Samstag, 26.04.2008
Am Montag, 28.04.2008 um 0353UTC startet die PSLV-C9 u.a. mit 6 Cubesats an Bord. Das Cluster NLS-4 besteht aus CanX-2, AAUSat-II, COMPASS, DELFI-C3, SEEDS und CUTE1.7+APD II. Der Downlink der DELFI-C³ CW Bake ist auf 145.870 MHz. Die anderen senden im 70cm-Band:

Mark, N8ME - I concur with Chris. I cannot thank Mike DK3WN enough for all of the help he has provided my ability to capture and decode telemetry. In fact, without his help, I wouldn't be able to do much with AO-16 and its telemetry...
His occasional posting of telemetry is a good reminder that these birds are alive and working well. He doesn't post every telemetry frame, every day. His posts are periodic and helpful. So...THANKS Mike :) 73, Mark N8MH
John, KB2HSH - I also appreciate an update on TLM of the various satellites, since I listen for...and study...and report on the health and "fitness" of several of them. Alex...I will always RESPECT your opinion, but please....don't heckle or belittle the interests or pursuits of others. Think of it this way....it was the collection of your so-called SPAM TLM that led to AO-16's new life.
Thank you, Mike...for doing what some of us haven't had time to do ourselves!
John KB2HSH
John, G7HIA - At the risk of getting flamed - I am quite happy to see the occasional telemetry postings on this bb.
Mike DK3WN does a great job with FREE software which you can download off his web site. It has software for telemetry decode for just about all of the current satellites. Software is easy to load and use, and works. Give it a try, telemetry can be fun.
If you want an up to the minute quick overview of which sats are being heard/worked go to KD5QGR's site http://oscar.dcarr.org You can post your reports there too.

Chris, M0DQO - Hi, I don't agree, this is informative and lets us know that these old birds are still there..
Well done Mike on providing this info. Thanks ' Chris - M0DQO
Ben, N1WBV - Hey Mike: Despite some grumblings from other list participants, I just wanted to say thanks for posting.
~Ben
Alex Perez - Has anyone here ever considered spiltting the ML in half for this kind of "spam"? I enjoy lurking here but these get old fast.
